Where location codes help
- Wedding and event invitations — guests get turn-by-turn directions to the venue.
- Shops, clinics and offices — on visiting cards, flyers and newspaper ads.
- Large campuses — the right gate, building or parking area, not just the address.
- Holiday rentals — the exact entrance, which map pins often get wrong.
How to make one
- Find the spot in Google Maps and copy its coordinates (for example
19.0760, 72.8777). - Paste latitude and longitude into the form above and choose how it should open.
- Download, then scan to check the pin lands where you expect.
The three formats
| Format | Example content | Opens in |
|---|---|---|
| Google Maps | https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=19.076,72.8777 | Any phone |
| Apple Maps | https://maps.apple.com/?ll=19.076,72.8777 | iPhone, iPad, Mac |
| geo: URI | geo:19.076,72.8777 | Android map apps |
For an invitation, pair a location code with an event QR code so guests can save the date and find the venue. A house or heart shape makes it fit the design.
