Create a QR code that opens any UPI app with your UPI ID, name and (optionally) amount filled in. It only encodes the payment request — the payer always confirms in their own app.

How to create a UPI QR code

  1. Enter your UPI ID (VPA) — for example yourname@okaxis. You can find it in your UPI app's profile.
  2. Enter the payee name as you want it shown to the payer.
  3. Optionally add a fixed amount in rupees and a note such as an order number.
  4. Download, then scan it with your own UPI app and check the name before printing.

What's encoded

The code holds a standard UPI deep link, for example upi://pay?pa=sharmastore@okaxis&pn=Sharma%20Store&am=250.00&cu=INR&tn=Order%201024. Names and notes are percent-encoded so spaces and special characters arrive intact. The currency is always INR.

Frequently asked questions

Which apps can scan a UPI QR code?

Any UPI app that supports scan-and-pay — for example Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and banking apps. They read the standard upi://pay link.

Does MyQRGenerator process the payment?

No. The QR code only contains a payment request (UPI ID, name, amount, note). The payment happens entirely between the payer's UPI app and the banks. We never see or handle money or payment data.

Should I set a fixed amount?

Set an amount for a specific bill or product. Leave it empty for a counter or donation QR so the payer can enter any amount.

Is this the same as a merchant QR from my bank?

No. Banks and payment apps issue merchant QR codes with extra merchant identifiers and features like payment notifications and settlement reports. A QR made here is a basic person-to-person style payment request to your UPI ID. Some apps may show limits or warnings for large payments to such requests.

How do I check the QR is correct?

Scan it with your own UPI app before printing and confirm it shows your exact name and UPI ID. Never pay into a QR you didn't verify.
