Tips for link QR codes
- Shorter is easier to scan. Every character adds data.
example.com/menumakes a far simpler code than a URL with five tracking parameters. - Link to a page you control. If you print the code, use an address you can keep alive (or redirect) for as long as the print exists.
- Make sure the page is mobile-friendly. Nearly every scan happens on a phone.
- Want campaign tracking? Add UTM parameters (e.g.
?utm_source=poster) and read them in your own analytics — no third-party redirect needed.
Will my URL QR code ever stop working?
The code itself can't expire: the link is stored in the pattern, not on our servers. It stops being useful only if the page it points to disappears or moves without a redirect. Before printing, check the link on mobile data (not your office Wi-Fi), confirm there are no login walls, and prefer a stable address such as yourbrand.com/menu over a temporary campaign URL or a link from a third-party shortener you don't control.
Social profiles and app stores
The Social and App tabs above build the correct profile or store URL from a username or package name. A single static code holds one link, so if you need both iPhone and Android downloads, print two codes or link to a landing page that lists both stores.
